The beginning of jeremiah
I knew what it meant to be alone. To long for understanding.
And that's where Jeremiah began.
In my early years, making art, served as a means of self-expression.
I became an empathic, sensitive person who looked past the rose-coloured glasses of life from a very young age as a result of going through intense personal struggles and facing many of life's challenges.
I longed to channel all of my innermost feelings into something beyond myself, something with a higher calling. I had to put my inner anguish into something meaningful and capture it. Something that people could relate to, and the ability to establish deeper connections with others.
The name “Jeremiah” was my surname name at birth.
Jeremiah signifies new beginnings from a harsh reality. that despite life's challenges, you are able to transform them into something positive.
Jeremiah is my reminder that I am not my past and that my past will not hold me back.

Jeremiah has developed a distinct style merging fine art and street art. She has been known for her detailed portraits covering walls and canvases alike across New Zealand.
Jeremiah primarily paints women subjects as she can relate to the subtle ways in which women convey emotion through elegance and beauty.
Jeremiah's ultimate purpose is to bring attention to people who are marginalised by society as a result of challenging upbringings, and to convey to them the idea that they are capable of overcoming any obstacles placed in their path.
